A compliance management organization model for drug screen delivery

Oral Fluid Screens

Oral Fluid Testing is a relatively new technology that nevertheless is beginning to receive acceptance in the courts. Unlike urine testing, oral fluid testing is always observable with no privacy invasion. Oral fluid screens can also test for recent marijuana use in a chronic user–something the other technologies cannot do.Oral fluid can test for:

  • Marijuana
  • Cocaine
  • Opiates
  • PCP
  • Amphetamines

Oral fluid testing may be secured through our network of collection sites, can be administered on site by your own staff, or can be administered on site by Span certified collection personnel. Like urine testing, oral fluid testing can provide instant results, or it can be lab-based. In both instances, GC/MS confirmations are available. It should be noted, since there is no professional component in the initial testing and no separation from the collectors and the testing agency when provided by your personnel, instant tests are often viewed as less evidentiary than lab-based testing.

Oral fluid screens are a useful alternative when testing for very recent drug use, or if the client is bladder shy or when a same-sex collector is not available. Like with urine screens, prospective positive oral screens should undergo GCMS confirmation.
